Winemaker Rob Entriken enrolled in the Washington State University enology certificate program in 2007. Inspired by his fellow classmates, many of whom were already professional winemakers, Finn Hill Winery was licensed and bonded in Rob's two-car garage on Finn Hill in September 2008. Annual production started at 150 cases, but after a few years, space constraints dictated a move to the warehouse district in Woodinville where annual production today is less than 1,000 cases -- still at the "micro-winery" level. This small scale allows Rob to pay tremendous attention to every detail of the wine making process, and to use the best grapes and the finest French oak barrels available. This results in wines with elegance and power, which reflect the vineyard's distinct terroir and "sense of place".

Founded by Amy and Josh Stottlemyer, Stottle Winery was established through a passion for wine and the simple pleasures of life. We believe that each wine is an expression of all the things that influence the grape on its journey from vine to wine. Our duty as winemaker is to bring out the greatest expression of each of the elements that touch the grape in its life. The quality of the soils, the intensity of the sun, the cooling influence of the mountains and rivers, and the care and skill of the grower all lend subtle influences to a wine. Like a sculptor must find the statue incased in the stone, so must a winemaker find the perfect expression of that grape.

After some years working on his family’s vineyard, Jean-Gérard Guillot left to deepen his wine-making knowledge. He first worked for several years at the Domaine de la Chanal in Brouilly in the Beaujolais, then at the Domaine Bernard Michelot in Meursault. In 1978, he returned to Cruzille, where he established the Domaine Guillot-Broux with his wife, Jacqueline (Broux is her maiden name). Jean was a winemaker, with a profound understanding of all that this encompasses: the soil, the vines, and wine. The Domaine has 17 hectares of vines situated in the three villages of Cruzille, Grévilly and Chardonnay, and have two appellations: Mâcon Cruzille and Mâcon Chardonnay. Most of the vineyards are on east-facing slopes on clayey limestone soil. The various geological formations give rise to different terroirs, resulting in strikingly different wines. The Domaine has been organic from the beginning, and has been certified organic since 1991.

The Louis Chenu Père & Filles estate is a family winery in Savigny-les-Beaune in Burgundy. The family has been growing grapes and making wine for five generations now. The first parcels of vineyards were bought in 1914. In 2003, the estate was taken over by the daughters of Louis; Caroline, who takes care of the technical part, and Juliet who manages the administrative and commercial part of the estate. Their permanent concerns are the respect of the vineyard, the quality of the wine and the reception of the customers in their cellar. The vines are all located in Savigny-les-Beaune, in the heart of Côte de Beaune. The main productions are Savigny-les-Beaune Premiers Crus ("Aux Clous", "Les Hauts-Jarrons", "Les Lavières" or "Les Talmettes") but they also produce a rare wine, a Savigny-les-Beaune Village White.

At the heart of the Côte des Bar, Vincent Couche, a passionate and very demanding winemaker, cultivates 14 hectares of biodynamic vineyards on two terroirs: Montgueux with a plot of Chardonnay facing south on a chalk floor, and Buxeuil where you can find the majority of Pinot Noir on Kimmeridgian soils, clay limestone or marl clay. Anxious to give meaning to his winemaking profession and preserve the dimensions of agronomic and environmental balance, Vincent naturally turned to biodynamic agriculture. Its primary objective is to vinify authentic and quality wines. It uses only natural products and the field is certified in organic and biodynamic (Demeter). In terms of vinification, this means that the methods are also the most natural possible, while following the Vin Demeter specifications. Vincent goes even beyond these requirements; part of the estate is vinified without sulfur and especially the cuvée Chloé. The biodynamic practice allows him to produce healthy wines while enhancing the typicity and the richness of its grape varieties and its soils.

The wines from the Bonnet Huteau estate are carrying the torch for the renaissance happening in Muscadet at the moment. Organic production, separate wines for each of the different terroirs in the estate and careful ageing on lees make for a fascinating insight into the fresh, mineral wines of this lauded region. Run by Remi Bonnet and his brother Jean-Jacques, the estate is based around the ruins of a château dating to the middle ages and has 48 hectares under vines, with some 42 Ha planted with Muscadet (Melon de Bourgogne). This already substantial estate has further increased with the purchase of 10 ha of the neighboring Chateau des Gautronnieres which the brothers have converted to organic farming. The “Les Laures” is next to Guy Bossard’s “Expressions de Granit” parcel and is entirely granite soil. Biodynamically farmed, the vineyards are grassed through and all grapes are hand-harvested. Yields are held to 50/55 hL/ha and attention is paid to keeping the bunches as aerated as possible to ensure thicker, healthier skins and ever greater ripeness, traits encouraged with ‘sierra’ and manual thinning and regular increases in leaf height throughout the growing season. All cuvées are matured with their lees in suspension, gaining further complexity and giving wines with finesse, fruit and volume.

"10 generations, a know-how dedicated to respecting the terroir" Established for at least 10 generations on the peak of Sancerre, the Fouassier family is one of the oldest families of vine growers in the village. The estate was replanted at the end of the 19th century (following phylloxera) by Jules Fouassier. He was joined by Gustave his son in the 1920s. In the mid-1930s, it was Raymond, the son of Gustave who began to work the vine at only 13 years old. In 1966, Pierre Fouassier, Raymond's eldest son, began farming and in 1971, Jean-Michel, Pierre's younger brother, returned to farming. The new century began with the arrival of Benoit the son of Jean-Michel and Paul the son of Pierre in 2001. The vineyard now covers nearly 56 hectares planted with 80% of the noble and very old Sauvignon grape variety, and for the rest of the most delicate and elegant of the red varieties, the Pinot Noir. At the estate, a traditional and traditional vineyard culture is realized. More than ¾ of the work is done manually. The key word is the respect of the soil, it is naturally that the biodynamic imposed itself on the vine as with the cellar since the beginning of the years 2000.

Domaine de l'R was founded by Frédéric Sigonneau in 2007 and has quickly risen to the top as a Cabernet Franc producer. Frédéric and his parents have been living next door to Bernard Baudry, he was a childhood friend of Mathieu, Bernard's son. He then worked at Fabrice Gasnier, an organic (and now biodynamic) vigneron 4 km away. Then at the end of the wine school in 2002 he went to Spain where he stayed for 2 years, working on biodynamically-farmed and ungrafted vineyards. Back in France, he had an interlude of 2 years working in a conventional Domaine before setting up his own Domaine in 2007. His wines, which were then still under the radar by the mainstream wine media, were discovered by Olivier Grosjean, an out-of-the-box French wine writer during his visit at the Salon d'Angers in 2009. Since that time, his wine production has increased a little bit, but the demand for his wines have skyrocketed. We are excited to launch the wines in the region as we are sure everyone will feel all that we feel when they taste Frédéric's wines. The management of the vineyard is done as naturally as possible by working the soil and protecting the vines of mildew and powdery mildew with sulfur and copper. The grapes are hand-picked and then transported by crates. In the winery, the vats are made by gravity in tanks made of raw cement.

Mas Des Caprices lies in the Languedoc region, in a town called Leucate on the Mediterranean coast, between Narbonne and Perpignan. The 12 hectares of vineyard lie partly on the maritime part of the AOC Fitou, and partly in Corbieres, which also belongs to the AOC Rivesaltes. Owners, Mireille and Pierre Mann, both children of Alsace winemakers, ran a restaurant near Colmar for 10 years. Their passion for delighting the palate was great, but deep down they knew that running a restaurant wasn't enough. In 2003 their call back to nature was too great, and they made the decision to reinvent themselves as wine makers, first trying Provence but eventually settling in Leucate. At first they had no wine making material, and their first wine was vinified in the coop cellar. They then took the opportunity to go organic, and in 2009 they got their organic certification and finally they could rejoice in becoming independent. Their guiding principle: work carefully in the vineyard, respect nature, delight the palate, rejoice through the glass and share the fun.

Originally the "Château de la Selve" was a stronghold on the borders of the Empire and the Kingdom of France. It was then the hunting relay of an illustrious Vivarais family, the dukes of Joyeuse, before becoming over the centuries a farm. Dating from the 13th century, its architecture is typical of houses or castles of Bas-Vivarais. Located on the banks of the Chassezac, main tributary of the Ardèche, it enjoys an exceptional and protected environment. In 1990, this magnificent home became the property of Benoît's parents. The castle is then a family and tourist destination. Benoît and his wife Florence are the winemakers at La Selve. In 2002 Benoît graduated from the viticultural school of Beaune and realized his dream: to create a wine estate in the South of Ardeche where he was certain that the terroir had a great potential. With its hot sun and its cool nights, its wild landscapes, its calcareous soils that smell of scrubland, humus, and wild truffle! Benoît and his wife Florence practice a culture in bio and biodynamic that preserves the environment and allows the terroir to express itself. They are constantly searching for the vines, soils that are always more alive and, in the cellar of ever more pure wines.

Marine Roussel took her time finding her place in the family domaine. Her father, Pierre, was an agronomist and started Domaine du Joncier in 1964. However, as a young graphic artist, Marine was seeking adventure beyond her small, sleepy town in the Southern Rhône. After living in both Marseille and Paris, Marine eventually felt a strong pull to return home. She joined the domaine in 1989 and has since taken on her new vocation with the zeal that only a true artist could possess. Marine aims to achieve balance, purity, and minerality in her wines—a noble, if not challenging, goal given the sunbaked terroirs she farms. On the right bank of the Southern Rhône, Lirac shares many similarities to both neighboring crus Tavel and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Her terraced vineyards of alluvial soil and galets roulés mirror Châteauneuf’s terraces right across the river. Maximum sun exposure and ripeness like that of Tavel must be tempered, and that is where both nature and Marine’s artistry comes into play. Her terraces benefit from the persistent mistral, whose regular gusts purify the vines of parasites and mildew throughout the entire year. The galets roulés in the soil provide good drainage and insulation, preventing the roots from getting too hot or too cold at any given time. In addition, Marine achieved organic certification in her vineyards in 2000 and biodynamic certification in 2011. Her soils are alive with microbiotic activity, lending a hand in both the long-term sustainability of her land and in the mineral expression of her wines.

For many generations, Domaine de Fages belonged to the family Bel who was a big name in Cahors in the 70’s. The Croisille family, winemakers and newly settled in the village, became partners with this estate between 1990 and 2000. Together, they were part of the most dynamic producers of Cahors until they decided as a mutual agreement to split. Fourteen years later, The Croisilles took over Domaine de Fages when Mr. Bel decided to retire. Nowadays, Domaine de Fages is 10 hectares large and fully cultivated under organic agriculture. The Croisille family restructured the vineyard to enhance these fabulous Causses limestone terroirs of Cahors. Domaine de Fages is located on the famous limestone plateau of Cahors. Between 250- and 300-meters altitude, the plots are planted on 2 different kinds of soil: sandy and ferrous red clay (siderolithic) and clay-limestone.

Located in the northern part of the Rhône valley, in the historic heart of the Saint Joseph appellation, the estate carried out its first harvest in 2014. After several years of experience in France and abroad, Bastien Jolivet decided to return to the family farm and join forces with his father. Today, the estate is made up of 8ha, planted on a hillside facing South / South-East with many stone walls in order to retain the soil. These granite soils are the ideal places for Syrah to fully express itself. Most of the work in the vineyard is done by hand. They tend to make the most balanced wines possible and believe that work in the vineyard is key. The vinifications are traditional in stainless steel vats with temperature regulation in order to control the extractions. The aging and the malolactic fermentation take place in barrels.

It all started in 1950 when Jean Garnier, Jean-Yves Millaire's grandfather, bought 6 hectares of vines in the communes of Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac and Fronsac. It was in January 1998 that Jean-Yves Millaire decided to take over the family business. Joined by Christine, his wife, they now operate 20 hectares distributed under three different appellations: AOC Canon Fronsac - AOC - Fronsac - AOC Bordeaux. Their work is focused on quality and respect for our Earth, which naturally led to organic farming and biodynamics. Thanks to cultivation techniques aimed at using no herbicide, fungicide, insecticide or other synthetic pesticides, Vignobles Millaire presents natural wines, the pure expression of their terroir. The work on the ground is very meticulous with follow-up of each plot because, in the organic culture, everything is based on the anticipation and prevention. The vinification is done in a natural way, without artifice, and the symbiosis found between man and his vine allows their wines to express all their quintessence.

This 9 hectares domaine is run by Jean-Noel and his son Thomas Blard for 5 generations. Surrounded by the mountains, the geographic situation looks like heaven on earth. Most of the cuvees are single-varietal and each of them showcases a grape variety on a selected soil. At the peak of the work in the vineyard, 9 people are working on 9 hectares. The cultivation of the vine is managed in the most sustainable way possible. The juices ferment slowly then age on fine lees in vats for up to 11 months. Thomas studied in champagne and the domaine is making fantastic cremant inspired by Champagne vinification with long aging on lees to reveal the whole potential of this unique terroir.

Vincent Roussely is the fourth generation of the family to make wines at this beautiful 8 hectare vineyard site in the heart of Chenonceaux on the Cher river. Since 2007 he has farmed his vineyards by hand and horse and as a result has seen the health of his vineyards, swards and grapes improve immeasurably, which naturally has a direct influence on the wines he produces. Planted mainly in sauvignon blanc, the soil is a mixture of clay and limestone with pockets of silex where his oldest vineyards are situated, many of which are over 80 years old in the case of the Cuvee Chenonceaux. In smaller parcels, he also has some cot, pineau d’aunis, cabernet franc and gamay. The cellar is underground, dug into a tuffeau tunnel underneath the vines, and has been used for vinification of wine for over 250 years. New inox fermentation tanks have been put in place located in carved out recesses in the soft stone. Ferments are spontaneous and naturally very slow. Certain parcels are fermented and raised in 400 liters ‘futs’ of French oak, depending on the vintage. Vincent’s wines share the same sense of place and vitality, but have an extra dimension that makes them so appealing, both to savor and simply drink. He has not only a sense of fun but a huge sense of social responsibility which is engaging and compelling and we feel his wines will become an important part of our portfolio.

Domaine Courtault-Michelet was founded by Stéphanie Courtault and her husband Vincent Michelet. The project is part of the Courtault family estate, founded by Stéphanie’s father, Jean-Claude Courtault. Jean Claude arrived in Lignorelles in 1974 to work as a vineyard manager for one of the village's wine estates. In 1984, he purchased 1.5 hectares of 4-year-old vines in the Chablis area. Next, he rented a piece of land in the Chablis appellation area, which he then planted with the help of his wife, Marie-Chantal. And so, the estate of Jean-Claude Courtault was formed. His first vintage was 1987, and the wine was rewarded with a gold medal at the "Concours Général des Vins de Paris" competition. The 1994 edition of the guide Hachette awarded the 1992 Courtault Chablis a favorite by distinction, boosting business for the winery. JC grew his plantings, and in 1995, with the estate boasting a dozen hectares in Chablis and Petit Chablis, Jean-Claude Courtault decided to devote himself to wine-growing on a full-time basis. He built a wine storehouse that included all the features necessary for optimal operating efficiency. The estate has continued to develop its vineyards and now boasts a total of 27 hectares. The vineyards are dispersed over 6 different parishes in the Chablis area, with the majority located in Lignorelles and Beines. a few plots are in Maligny, Chablis, Fye and Villy. Their oldest plots have 35-year-old vines. The estate's vines are planted in accordance with the tradition of the Lignorelles area: every 5 rows, with sufficient space left for a tractor to pass. Planting density is 6000 - 7000 vines per hectare on average. The Courtault and Michelet families produce 4,100 cases of chardonnay.

Anne-Laure Grillet and Thomas Agatensi joined Domaine de la Bonne Tonne - so called because of the Cadastral plan - in 2019, bearing the torch from Marcel Grillet as the 7th-generation winemakers at the estate. Although 2019 only marks Thomas' first vintage on his own, his conviction to earnestly represent the best climate of Beaujolais is palpable. The winery has been practicing organic farming methods since 2003, and was certified organic in 2012. Additionally, the estate has been utilizing different biodynamic preparations since 2007. The winery is composed of 6.5 hectares: four in Morgon and two in Régnié, along with a touch of Beaujolais blanc. After working as a solar panel engineer in Switzerland for five years, Thomas briefly took a position with Bret Brothers in Mâcon before returning to his childhood hometown with Anne-Laure. Shortly after, the duo took over the family domaine from Marcel. Thomas takes his inspiration from the supportive natural winemakers in the area, such as Jean-Louis Dutraive, Paul-Henri Thillardon, and Yann Bertrand. All wines are farmed organically, indigenous yeasts are used in the cellar, and only a touch of so2 is added right before bottling. For vinification, whole-cluster grapes are cooled off in small batches before semi-carbonic maceration, and then the wines are aged for 8-9 months in old 600l foudres.

Marsannay, Côte de Nuit’s northern most wine growing region, has long been known to oenophiles for its Rosé de Marsannay, a specialty of the village created in 1919. Marsannay is unique in Burgundy for having AOC status for red, white, and rosé wines. Domaine Jean Fournier dates back to the reign of Louis 13th in the early 17th century, making it one of the oldest properties in Marsannay. Today the domaine’s 16 hectares are managed by the dynamic young Laurent Fournier, son of Jean, who crafts wines with integrity in a non-interventionist style. He has converted the vineyards to organic agriculture and has been Ecocert certified since 2008. Laurent ensures that his Aligoté lives up to its potential by green harvesting the grapes and keeping the yields low at 40hl/ha. Harvest is completed manually and grapes are hand sorted to guarantee that the wine is made from only the highest quality fruit. Grapes ferment in barrel for up to three weeks and the wines are then aged for three years in both 25 and 50 hl barrels allowing them plenty of time to flesh out. The result is precise wines of great age-ability, weight, and texture.

Domaine Esprit is located on the left bank of the Rhone River on the 45th parallel in the commune of Pont de l’Isère where Crozes-Hermitage vineyards unfolds. Prestigious cru of the Rhone Valley Northern appellations, the wines are available in red, made from Syrah, and white, made from Marsanne and Roussanne. Syrah, implanted in its original cradle, offers here a fine balance between the fruit and the tannins. Red Crozes-Hermitage is a wine of elegance, balance and pleasure. Whites have a beautiful golden color, fat in the mouth, floral and balanced. They also reveal a pretty nose of white flowers with a hint of nuts. Our soils tipicity rests on rolled pebbles and gravels from different ices ages mixed with red clay and forming reliefs called plateaus and terraces.

Domaine de la Piffaudière is the story of an atypical estate in the Loire. Olivier Bellanger, the winemaker, has been operating an 8 hectare vineyard since 2008 located on the slopes of the Cher Valley, in Monthou. Olivier is a bit of a goldsmith winemaker who makes wines that are both precise and unique, produced in organic viticulture. The Loire winegrower methodically vinifies wines made from blends of various and varied grape. All these efforts are guided by its guideline: "to produce zero-defect wines".
“The little story. The work we do at La Piffaudière is the work of enthusiast and passionated people. I try to develop my cuvées as accurately as possible to offer delicate and exceptional "tasting" experiences. The golden rule is to ban all chemical inputs to reveal all the subtlety of the soil. The natural wines testify a beautiful maturity and a particular balance which stands out from the wines resulting from classic viticulture.”

Third-generation winemaker Bernard had been working with his brother Jo in the heart of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine area, before moving in 2002 to the lesser-known and therefore cheaper area of Ancenis (to the north-east of Nantes). Initially his whole production was sold in bulk, but when eldest son Benoît returned in 2008 after his degree in viticulture and oenology, they started to bottle their own wine - organic conversion began in 2010. They now farm around 25 hectares and moved to a ‘new’ cellar in the town of Oudon for the 2017 harvest. They have a mix of varieties planted, including Melon de Bourgogne, Folle Blanche, Pinot Gris, Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2013 Benoît started making sparkling wines, producing a selection of lively and bright pet-nats. The climate of the Coteaux de la Loire is influenced by the Atlantic ocean and the Loire river. It is a soft climate; not too cold, not too warm and a little rainy - with hilly relief to the edge of the Loire. It allows for deep roots, so good ripeness. The moderate temperature in summer allows for freshness in the wine. The ocean winds follow the Loire and reduce the humidity in the air. They make wines with freshness and personality; expressing the diverse mix of soils that Muscadet offers – roundness from gneiss, more minerality from schist.

The François family have been traditional farmers for four generations – their main activity is making farmhouse cheeses from the milk from their twenty-five cows, which they sell at local markets across the Rhône valley. They began bottling their own Côte-Rôtie in 1991, expanding it further when their son Yoann joined the business in 2004. Initially the family sold all their grapes to the local ‘negociants‘ but they are doing so less and less as Yoann‘s wines are being recognized and experiencing increased demand. Today, the François family owns four hectares in Côte-Rôtie. these vineyards are situated in the lieu dit of ‘Les Rochains‘, ‘La Brosse‘, ‘Rochin‘ and ‘Le Bourrier’. The vines are low yielding and are harvested by hand due to the steepness of the slopes. The soil, mainly composed of mica-schist, is rich in minerals and has proven a good base for the 30-year-old vines of syrah and viognier. The vines are planted at a density of 8,000 to 9,000 per hectare and yields are 35 to 40 hectolitres per hectare.

Geoffrey de Nouel is a young vigneron on the rise in Chinon, an AOC located in central Loire, where some of the greatest cab franc is being produced. He started his winemaking journey in 2011 with a series of internships in Burgundy, then transported the Burgundian idea of cultivating and vinifying a singular grape on different plots (to showcase the terroir of each) to his own project in the Loire. All of Geoffrey's vineyards are certified organic, and his goal is to work as hands off as possible to produce transparent wines that showcase the varied soils of the area.

Olivier Richard was born into the Rhone valley and spent most of his childhood with his beloved grandfather; Lucien Reymond, who was always Olivier’s mentor. Lucien was a negociant in the south of France back in 1960’s and gave Olivier his passion for all things wine. Lucien, of course was a man of the Rhone and would never turn his back on his region but he secretly had a deep love for Sancerre. Lucien would confess to Olivier his dream of making wines from some of the worlds best Sauvignon Blanc one day, but sadly never got to realize his dream. This dream is finally being realized 30 years later by Olivier in his grandfathers honor. With a great love for this terroir and an equal emphasis on organic and biodynamic farming. It’s about more than making Sancerre, it’s about speaking to the place it comes from - and more specifically - the soil that the grapes are grown in.

Responsible agriculture is a way of life and of thinking. When producing their grapes, they aspire to act sensibly for the people and the planet. This state of mind develops naturally from a respectful relationship with nature. Since 1998, the vineyard has been cultivated and certified by Ecocert in organic farming and since 2010 in biodynamic farming by Biodyvin. Knowing how to adapt to a changing environment requires constant questioning. The planting of forgotten grape varieties such as Pineau d’Aunis, the incorporation of trees into the cultivation of the vine (agroforestry) or the gradual abandonment of all modern oenology are avenues that they have followed for more than 20 years. Revitalizing authenticity, durability and liveliness is an integral part of the culture of the estate. The entire Manoir de la Tête Rouge team and is passionate about this caring approach.

Vincent goes even beyond these requirements; part of the estate is vinified without sulfur, especially the cuvée Chloé. The biodynamic practice allows him to produce healthy wines while enhancing the typicity and the richness of its grape varieties and its soils.

Alessandro Barosi and Amalia Battaglia acquired this 5 hectare vineyard in 2001. The estate is located on a hillside, at an altitude of 450 m, and 3.5 km from the great Barolo wines. The terroir is composed of compact and limestone tuff, the rows are interspersed with grass and worked soil. The cultivation is in line and the tall vines are pruned in simple Guyot style. In 2002, they replanted 1.5 hectares of new vines, half with Nebbiolo and the other half with Barbera. The current production is fully certified organic. The wines are vinified in stainless steel vats then according to the cuvées and aged 18 months in barrels, demi-muids and tuns. The different vintages are then bottled with minimal addition of sulfur if necessary for a good conservation of the wines for aging.

Touching the fruit of hard work and letting it speak without interfering is the philosophy of Muralia. The vineyards of Muralia cover 14 hectares of limestone, clay and stony ground. Helped by his team, Stefano supervises the vineyards with passion, the fundamental quality of the winemaker's work. The cellar of Muralia is the place where the contact with the grapes becomes intimate. It is here that the grapes are listened to, interpreting the message that comes straight from the earth. The cellar is built inside a hill and is inserted discreetly in nature, hidden by a wall of ancient stones, a sort of theatre wings. The symbol chosen as the logo of the firm derives from the Sumerians, who had given this figure the meaning of "hand". It is the hand that welcomes and greets, the hand works the land, and it is the hand that picks the grapes from the plant and brings them to the glass.

THE OLDEST WINERY IN RIOJA ALAVESA. WINERY FOUNDED IN 1882
From its very beginnings, the Chávarri family has always been involved with the land and wine. Four generations of winegrowers have loved and respected the land of their ancestors. Their ongoing commitment is based on the foundations laid by their founder Francisco Chávarri; an enterprising man of the time with a great entrepreneurial vision. This is what led him to establish himself as a winemaker and acquire the first number on the Rioja Alavesa Bottling Register. This concern for the wine industry has been deeply ingrained in each new generation, and today we want to keep that determined and inspiring spirit alive for generations to come. Our philosophy as a family and winery go hand in hand, so as to reflect in our wines the knowledge and passion that we put into each and every one of them.

This is a top Vendimia Seleccionada with the character of an authentic Ribera del Duero. Carefully selected excellent and unique vintages. Hand-picked grapes from our oldest vineyards, together with a production process without any filtering or aggressive mechanization, lend a unique color and flavor to this great wine, produced in all its splendor. This wine is the result of a very strict grape selection at Chavarri’s Pagos de Carrapeñafiel vineyard in San Martín de Rubiales. Harvested when they attain optimum ripeness and acidity.
